The picnic was a success even with the rain. We had about 45 people attend. Jay Lieske brought the KFC, Burger King supplied the pop, and Jim Vrchota's singing was wonderful. Everyone stood during "God Bless the USA". We had Brookings mayor Tim Reed, Volga mayor Mary Bjerke, county commissioners Al Gregg and Mary Negstad, Register of Deeds Beverly Chapman and state legislators Carol Pitts and Larry Tidemann in attendence.
